Ashlyn Sloan is a painter born and raised in central Indiana. After studying art at Indiana Wesleyan University, Ashlyn continued to enrich her career with extensive studies of various mediums such as oil painting and watercolors while she delved deeper into her key creative focuses. Lush and vibrant scenes have filled her studio as her work builds a kind of tribute to her love of nature and cherished memories of growing up.

     A prominent theme Ashlyn aims to portray throughout her creative endeavors is a feeling of familiarity and belonging. Rooted in her love of the human figure, dynamic portraits, and places that evoke heartwarming nostalgia, her work delves deep into stripping back moments and turning them into slow, welcoming be-holdings. She forms a kind of "returning home" to stories in life that we often long to revisit, or in many cases, long to redeem.
